Artist’s Message:
I’ve made a lot of music over the years and have released on a lot of formats. When I began my musical journey I released mainly on DIY-style cassettes and CD-r. This changed in 2001 when I launched io-records. Following my io release I released on Hobby Industries, Type Records, Future Days, Moodgadget. I have an upcoming release slated this year for Archipel.

In addition to all of these “other label” releases I really do enjoy releasing DIY style items. I like making the individual units with my own hands. I like figuring out how to cut, fold, stamp, seal and package each unit. I enjoy the process of taking materials and construction objects from them, even if it is only 20 or 30. The reason I do any of this is because it brings me joy. Making the music, designing the packaging, updating the website, all of it is very satisfying, and more importantly, it is personally fundamentally necessary. I simply can’t not.

In the near future I am l going to be releasing more material on this site, available as CD-r, FLAC, and MP3s. MP3s will always be free, but won’t necessarily be available for all releases all the time. FLACs will always be a for-charge item, as will be the CD-rs. Call it what you will, and judge it how you choose. This is how I am choosing to release a majority of the compositions I have been working on for the past 6 years. Future releases and projects will be in io-records as well as this site.

Electronic Ethics Artist: Transelectronic Theory Format: CD-r Release Date: 1998 Status: Out of print The first release from transelectronic theory featured on the transelectronic.org site in 1998. A collection of related works, mostly done completely via software. The first release I did using soft-synths and VSTs.

Sultry Excapades Artist: Transelectronic Theory Format: Cassette Release Date: 1995 Status: Out of print Recorded 1993-1995, distributed 1995. 10+ songs, first release with a continuous mix. Some songs taken from the “Interzone Studio’s” recordings, other written that year. First release as Transelectronic Theory, at the time, Trans Electronic Theory, and the source of T.E.T.

Coherent Europa Artist: Sphere Format: Cassette Release Date: 1994 Status: Out of print Recorded 1992-1994, distributed in 1994. Distributed using the name Sphere. 6 songs, early 808 inspired work. 45 min.

Perceptions Artist: Honetol 14 Format: Cassette Release Date: 1992 Status: Out of print Recorded in 1991 - 1992 it was the first release by me. It contained songs written on an Amiga 500 utilizing a “tracker” program. Industrial w/vocals as well as hip hop inspired instrumentals. 8 bit, 4 notes of polyphony. A masterpiece of primitive proportions. 2 sides - about 10 songs.
